1st day done – Mummascribbles

Today was the first day in my new job. The first day of a new commute, a new team, a new desk, a new role.

I was a little nervous this morning but I needn’t have been! I got in for a late 10am start, met the stand in boss (real one has just gone on mat leave) and she was lovely and welcoming. Everyone I met was nice, people made me tea, brought me water, joined me in the conversations. There’s a great buzz in the office, people chatting in the kitchen area, round the office. It’s a lot more laid back than I was expecting and that’s great!

I was worried about working more hours at this place, about what time I get home, but there really wasn’t a huge difference and the journey was fine! Tomorrow will be another new journey as I’ll be travelling from home rather than mum’s and I know it’s going to be tight but hopefully it’ll be ok!

I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks, working on their biggest conference and taking on events of my own.

Very exciting times ahead hopefully and it’ll help show me I did the right thing!!
