3 emotions you will experience as you organise your baby's first birthday party – Mummascribbles

It’s a busy day in the mummascribbles household today and so it’s a perfect time to feature my first ever guest blogger Ling, who is approaching the exciting time of her daughter’s first birthday. Enjoy 🙂

1.  Fear

If you’re a lazy procrastinator like me, the thought of having to organise a special event like your baby’s first birthday will send you into sheer panic.  Browsing through Pinterest { AKA Pincrastinating } for inspiration and ideas will actually make you feel worse because you know you can never achieve a Pinterest-worthy perfect party for your little one.

2.  Sadness

And then it will suddenly hit you that your little bundle of joy is no longer that little anymore.  They are growing so, so, so fast.  It’s the same sad feeling you get when you pack away the clothing that don’t fit anymore.  Your throat will get that big huge lump and your eyes will start to water.

3.  Happiness

But then you smile.  You realise how blessed you are to have this super cute mini human in your life.  And you cannot wait to see them grow and develop…and look at their cute little face when they taste birthday cake for the first time in their lives.
