An afternoon treat with Asda Little Angels
Last Sunday was a very exciting day. Not only were our new wardrobes being put together by the other half, my sister and my brother in law but I had a very special event that I was heading off to. A few weeks back, a fab opportunity hit the mummascribbles inbox and I almost jumped with joy when I saw that it was on a Sunday. So often these things happen during the week and because I work, I simply can’t go.
The invitation was to head to The Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane and meet with the people behind Asda Little Angels. Not only was this event at the Dorchester but we would be served afternoon tea AND have a couple of pamper treatments in the spa. For a full time working, pregnant mummy of a three year old, this sounded like absolute bliss. So much bliss that I think I actually responded to the email almost immediately!
So, Sunday came along and I headed off up to London, leaving the others building wardrobes (well I couldn’t really help anyway!) and my nephew playing with Zach. I arrived at the Dorchester and immediately felt a little bit special. I mean I have never ever been to the Dorchester – it is such a lavish hotel, heck it’s such a lavish road itself, I have barely ever been to that part of London!
When I arrived in the reception, I could immediately see the small gathering of bloggers and joined them before we were taken down to the spa. I didn’t actually realise that the whole event was taking place down in the spa!

We were taken into the most gorgeous room where we could hang out for the afternoon and also where the presentation by Litle Angels was taking place. The presentation itself was so interesting – I was the only one in the room that has never used their nappies and by the end, there was no doubt in my mind that I would be trying this brand out when baby number two arrives.
Little Angels have been working hard on making their nappies the best they can and the newborn ones are so soft that they really do match other leading brands. In a recent Mother and Baby Magazine survey (total responses: 268, ran from 9th April to 9th May 2016), Little Angels not only out-performed Pampers and Aldi Mamia in all categories, ranking highest in terms of value for money/price, overall quality and absorbency, but they were also voted the preferred nappy brand.
Until I went to this event, I had no idea just how big the range is. From preemie to newborn, first pants to bedtime pants and swimming nappies to bed mats, they have covered everything that you could possibly need. Their first pants also come in a Peppa Pig design which I know for a fact would have been a massive winner for Zach!

One of the most important things I discovered was that the newborn nappies are the first to be enriched with the special Dreamskin® polymer which is clinically proven to soothe and protect skin. It helps to regulate skin temperature and helps to keep skin moisturised. Zach has always had very sensitive skin and I am therefore expecting the new baby to have similar, so knowing how wonderfully soft these are would really put my mind at rest.
Like I say, I was totally converted to Little Angels with all of the information that I was given and it was lovely to sit and have a feel of each one. I have tried other supermarket brands before when Zach was still in nappies and you really could tell the difference, but not with these!
After the presentation it was time to relax. We popped into the changing rooms to put on our robes and slippers (yes really!) and headed on back to ‘our room’. Suddenly I was being called in for my pregnancy massage. A whole 55 minutes of pure relaxation and it was amazing! I felt so refreshed afterwards. I love massages anyway but having one when you are pregnant just feels incredible.

Afterwards I went back to the room and gorged on the afternoon tea, which was absolutely delicious, whilst chatting to the other lovely bloggers. I was then whisked off for a manicure which I thoroughly enjoyed. I never seem to be able to find the time to sit and do my nails and if I do, I always find something to do afterwards and it smudges!

To say I had a wonderful time being pampered with Little Angels would be a bit of an understatement. It was AH-MAZING!
Thank you so much Little Angels – you made this mumma feel very special for an afternoon!
