An unexpected furry guest! – Mummascribbles

When I picked Zach up from nursery yesterday, I found that it wasn’t just him I was bringing home – we were to have a guest for the weekend in the form of Marvin the Meerkat! Marvin is a very funny looking Meerkat, he looks just a little bit scary!

Marvin comes with a book in which we have to write about the fun things that he has got up to while spending time with Zach. The interesting thing for me is that this is the second of these occurrences and the difference between the two visits is hugely noticeable.

We first had a visitor back when Zach was at his previous nursery. I can’t remember his name, I know he was an elephant but Zach was quite small and he had absolutely no interest in this at all. In fact, most of the time, by the time I’d positioned the Elephant for a photograph and then positioned myself to take it, Zach had already thrown it on the floor! It took me numerous attempts to get an actual decent photo and make it look like Zach was really enjoying their time together!

We have had Marvin for not even a day and Zach loves him already! This morning, he cuddled him while walking to the car and Marvin is spending the day with him at my Mum’s! So far they have had a tea party and Marvin has sat with Zach while he was eating his lunch! To see that my little boy has become a loving and gentle soul to teddies pleases me, for there was a time when he wasn’t bothered by them at all. I would dream about him wandering around cuddling them, playing with them, being in love with them! Now, they get more cuddles than I do!

Now all we need to do is have a fun weekend so we don’t look like boring farts when he takes the book back to nursery next week!
