EEEEEEEEEK…I'm going to BritMums Live – Mummascribbles

I truly did not think I would be able to go to this years Britmums Live. It is a manic time at work, I am literally flying home from an event in Glasgow the night before and there is another event on the Friday that whilst I’m not going to, I thought I’d need to be in the office. Then there was the money factor. I couldn’t afford a ticket. I hadn’t mentioned it to the other half and I hadn’t bothered to ask for a day off work. I thought both answers were going to be no.

Then I happened to drop it into a conversation with the other half. He is so amazingly supportive of my blog (and not so secretly loves reading it himself), and he knows how much it means to me. He told me to go and ask work for the day off as if I really wanted to go, we would find the money. He wanted me to go. Bless his little heart!

So, I asked for the day off. It was looked into, I had to wait a few days to find out, but it was approved, all signed off.

Then something amazing happened. I found someone selling their ticket for the super early rate. She’d been trying to sell it for ages and it was still available. I snapped it up quicker than I snap up a slice of cake (which is super fast!).

And just now? Just now I received the confirmation in my inbox and I want to scream that I AM GOING TO BRITMUMS LIVE. And you know what’s even better? It’s happening exactly 4 days before the first anniversary of me publishing my first blog post!

I am so excited. There are So many bloggers that I talk to and link up regularly with who are going and I SO can’t wait to meet them.

And so now, I introduce my little I’m going to Britmums Live information. So that anyone going, will know a little bit of why I am there and who to look out for!

Somewhere between 5’5 and 5’6.

Hair:
Errrm, The top section is brown and the bottom section is a kind of rusty auburn/blonde look. It’s normally up in a ponytail due to this as I’m trying to grow it out…my hair takes soooo long to grow! There may also be a couple of silver hairs sparkling in the light!

Eyes:
Tired! Oh sorry, I mean dark brown, small and sultry looking! They will be covered in smoky grey eye shadow and eyeliner!

Is this your first blogging conference?
YES!! I am already feeling a tad nervous and at the same time, I can’t wait!

Are you attending both days?
Definitely – I can’t believe I managed to get the Friday off work so I’ll be there with bells on!

What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?
I am so excited to meet the fab bloggers that I have been getting to know over the past 11 months. In particular the lovely Caro from The Twinkle Diaries as she is one of my Twinkly Tuesday co-hosts and it will be so lovely to actually meet her in person. I am also looking forward to going into the sessions and learning lots of fab blogging tips! And of course, the Britmums party! Yeah!

What are you wearing?
At the moment, I am thinking one of my lovely long dresses – probably the one from M&S with red roses all over it. And on the Saturday, my red jeggings and green top. This may change though so I’ll update as and when necessary! And of course, I’ll tweet a photo on the day so you know what I’m in!

What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015?
New friends, contacts and lots of information to help me make my blog the best it can be.

Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
I haven’t been before so I am off to frantically have a look at other people’s tips!
