How To Feel Better About Yourself {AD} – Mummascribbles

I don’t know about you, but I suffer from a lot of imposter syndrome. Self-confidence comes from believing in yourself and your skills. It sounds easy, but it can be hard to get there. And, of course, having problems with your mental health can change how you feel about yourself. Yet if you can build up your self-esteem and feel better about yourself, you’ll find that your entire life can change for the better. Please do bear in mind; if you follow these tips and nothing changes, you must speak to a medical professional who will be able to help you more.

Think About Your Past Achievements
Make a list of everything you’re proud of in your life, like getting a good grade on an exam, learning to cook your favourite dish, running a certain distance, or something else. Celebrate your wins, no matter how big or small they are.
When you’re feeling down, you can look at the list to remind yourself of all the great things you’ve done. Remember: your accomplishments are specific to you. Try not to compare what you’ve done to what other people have done, as this can make you feel down (even though there is no reason to).
Think About What You’re Good At
Everyone possesses their own unique set of talents and abilities, so what do you think yours might be? Think about this and make a list that you can carry around with you and look at when you’re feeling negative – you can even combine this list and the one above to make you feel really great!
Knowing your strengths and working to further develop them might help you feel good about your abilities. Get feedback from others on what they see as your best qualities and add them to your list too.
Have Goals
Set some goals, and then figure out what you need to do to reach those goals. There’s no need for them to be big, just start with small goals that you can check off a list. This will give you confidence that you can get things done. Even making a cake or planning a night out with friends can be one of these goals.
As you gain more confidence and self-belief, you can make these goals bigger ones. You might decide you’re going to start your own business or that one day you’ll own a boat that you can store at storagearea.com. No goals are out of reach if you really want them, so take this idea seriously and then start moving forward no matter how long it might take.
Give Yourself A Pep Talk
If you constantly tell yourself you’re not good enough, you’ll never be able to feel confident about yourself. Consider how your internal dialogue is influencing your sense of self-worth. If you were your best friend, you would offer encouragement and support, so why not make sure you do this?
Start each day with a pep talk reminding yourself of how great you are, what your skills are, and what your goals are – and how you’ll get to them. This will help you to start your day off in a positive frame of mind, and that should carry on through the day, helping you in all you do.
