One of Zach’s favourite things each month is discovering that the latest Little Passports package has arrived in the post. Quite often he asks if whatever post we have received is for him so it’s nice to actually be able to say yes and see the excitement.
Our third Little Passports package was in the theme of animals and it’s probably the one that has made Zach the happiest so far. In case you don’t know, Little Passports is a monthly subscription package that includes a themed workbook, some stickers, some gifts that are also themed and a really cool flashlight adventure. They have different subscriptions for different ages and we receive the early explorers subscription which is aimed at ages 3-5. With a mixture of learning and fun, it always goes down a treat in our house.
When we delved in, he was desperate to see what the gift was and in this case it was finger puppets. A whole bunch of animal finger puppets. At his request, I put them all together with his help and we used the guide that was with it to show where all the bits stuck together. It took about ten minutes to get them all done and he was running with each one on a finger to show daddy who was in the kitchen cooking!

We then had a look at the flashlight adventure. With this, you take the little cardboard torch off and pop it under the clear layer making it act as a torch. He finds this absolutely fascinating and was saying ‘oh look, there’s a Zebra, there’s a lion, there’s a whale’. He always has so much fun with this.

I tried to sit down with him and do some of the workbook but he wasn’t in the mood and so we got his little suitcase down (that comes with the first month) and stuck the sticker on to add to his collection. After a few minutes I tried the workbook again and he’d changed his mind – this time being well up for doing some education! He’s funny is Zach…he isn’t great at taking instruction or sitting down and working on something. Not at home anyway, I know he does it at nursery! This time though he completely surprised me as we worked our way through the book. He particularly enjoyed any of the sections that involved him linking bits together with lines and he was really good at recognising the small vs big animals and the mummies vs babies. I was so impressed with how well he did.

Every month I am so pleased with what we get sent but I would say that this one has seen Zach be far more interactive! Thanks Little Passports!
We were sent the Little Passports Animal pack for the purpose of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
