Living Arrows 2021 – Week 11 – Mummascribbles

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Well the first week back at school happened – Zach’s new school – and he had a great time. He was super nervous on the first day but once he was in, he was fine and he is so, so happy. Which makes it even harder because on Sunday night we received the notification that he needs to isolate due to a positive case in his year group staff. He was gutted when I told him, and it means that he now cannot go out once again. Stuck inside until next Tuesday. Today has been fairly lax because the staff weren’t ready, but we have three video lessons and a class catch up on zoom each day so he’ll be kept busy!

Thankfully he got out for a nice long walk on Sunday before we were notified about his required isolation period. It being Mother’s Day, I wanted them to come for a long walk over the nature reserve and they couldn’t argue as it was my day, my choice! And they had the most fun. We explored a little further with them, going through the “secret passage” (which was a narrow muddy footpath) that Daddy had found and which they loved! And then when we looped round and were on our way back to the start, they found a tree which just needed to be explored. And I had to whip my camera out! Zach was first to explore and Oscar just had to have a go too which was a bit scary! And as they are such fantabulous pictures, they are the ones I am featuring this week!

I had such a lovely Mother’s Day. They were pretty well behaved, I got gorgeous presents that I had mentioned that I wanted, spent time with my boys, had a bit more furniture built in the house (a coat and shoe storage bench thing), and a lovely roast dinner. I spent my day being very thankful of my wonderful brood. Even though they do drive me a bit crazy – especially when they are stuck at home winding each other up again!
