Mummascribbles – Funky storage solutions with Holster – Mummascribbles

I am not known to be the tidiest person in the world. In fact, I just can’t help but be quite messy. There were always jokes at work at how untidy my desk was (even though I knew where everything was and if I tidied it I’d tend to then forget where I’d put things!). I drive my other half crazy with my inability to put the post somewhere sensible and therefore end up with stacks of paperwork on the computer desk or coffee table waiting to be filed away. I have gotten better, especially at the moment where I have a bit of an obsession with keeping things clean and tidy – I think it’s very different when you are at home all of the time as these things bother you a lot more than when you are only seeing them for a couple of hours in the evening! 

So, in my current nesting stage I have been sorting out the house a little bit, keeping things tidy and putting things where they make more sense. And anything that can help me be a little more organised is a welcome bonus. When the people behind the Holster products sent me a selection of their products, I was very excited to see how I could use them around the house to help me!  

Holster is very new to the UK but they are a genius idea. With a range of sizes and for a huge range of uses, the Holster products fix to any flat surface, creating a storage solution that is totally flexible. You could use it for anything – keys, stationary, make up brushes. You name it and it has a purpose! 

I was sent the Holster beauty kit which features a Hot Iron Holster, Lil’ Holster Mini and Lil’ Holster Skinny. The main reason I opted for this set was because every day that I use my straighteners – after I have finished using them, I shove them with all their heat, on the carpet behind the bed so they are hidden away. I have never got around to actually buying something to safely store them. The Hot Iron Holster is heat resistant up to around 260°C which is perfect for my GHD’s. It means that a) they are not dumped on the floor and b) I can safely store them whilst in use and whilst cooling down. And there is enough room to pop my brush in next to them (my brush is always in a different place every time I look for it!).

The other two products can be used for anything you want! Fancy using them at the kitchen sink? They have small holes in the bottom to allow wet objects to drain and dry! Perfect for sponges or bottle cleaners! 

Or you could pop them up in the bedroom and pop your make up in them! I love the way they all look side by side so I might go for this option myself (can you tell I have been testing what I want to use them for?).

Honestly, the options are completely yours and there are a whole bunch of other products in different shapes and sizes that could be the answer to your problem! I am actually thinking that the Lil’ Holster Skinny is perfect to attach to the computer desk and store pens in. I am forever looking for a ruddy pen! 

I love the way they are completely transferable – because they simply stick (as if magnetised) to any smooth surface so you can just pick it up and move it somewhere else. You can take them on your travels or just change their use whenever you want. They are also dishwasher safe which is amazing (I love anything that can be thrown in the dishwasher). 

I am loving using these products around the house and having been looking at their full range, I already want more!
