Mummascribbles – I'm going to #BML16 – Mummascribbles

BritMums Live is happening on 25th June and I am going to be there! I am very excited as I only decided that I would go last week and now I can’t wait. As always there is a ‘I’m going to BritMums Live linky’ where we all introduce ourtselves to try and make things a bit easier on the day. So here goes!

My name: Lisa

My blog: Mummascribbles

Find me on social media at: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest,

How I look: Average height, shortish brown hair with highlights and lowlights which will probably be up in a ponytail unless I’m having a very rare good hair day, freckly with a little button nose (!). Oh, and you’ll also find me sporting a 28 week baby bump!

Is this my first blogging event? No! I went to BritMums last year and had such a fab time. I even felt like a bit of a celeb as lots of people know me from running the Twinkly Tuesday linky! It was a bit of a weird feeling having people come up to me, excited to meet me! I also this year went to the Blognix retreat which was equally as wonderful. I do love a good blog conference and would go to so many more if I could afford to!

I will be wearing…I have absolutely no idea as it pretty much is weather dependent since I’ll be taking the train up in the morning. If it’s peeing down with rain then I have no idea! Last year it was gorgeous weather so if it’s like that, I’ll probably pop on one of my new maternity dresses!

What I hope to gain from #BML16: A few more eye creases, a couple of laughter lines and a sore jaw from nattering too much! Ok, in seriousness I hope to gain new connections, new ideas, new vavavoom and a few extra pounds from some yummy cake.

My tips for a great conference: Hook on to the first person that you recognise and don’t leave their side! It was poor Louise at Little Hearts Big Love that I first spotted last year and she had me hanging on for a while before she managed to shake me off! But, just be yourself, be bold, be brave and talk to people. If it’s your first time and are turning up alone, it will be hugely daunting (that was me last year) but there will be someone you recognise so go talk to them. If it’s me that you recognise, do come over and say hi. I am absolutely crap with names, so if I stand there trying to put a face and name to the blog and where I know the blog from, I can only apologise!

Most of all enjoy. It’s over all too quickly!

See you there!

I’ve been nominated for ‘working parent blogger of the year’ at the mumandworking awards. If you’d like to vote for me just click on the image below to take you to the voting form!
