Mummascribbles – Mummascribbles meets…Leah and Two – Mummascribbles
Today we meet the love Leah from Leah and Two. Thanks so much for joining in Leah
Tell me a little bit about yourself and your family.
I’m Leah, 23 years old and I live in Kent. I have two beautiful sons. I met my other half at secondary school 10 years ago and when we finally realised we loved each other it was amazing. I fancied the pants off him but we were best friends so never crossed that barrier. When I moved away I had a couple of boyfriends but after a bit of growing up we finally realised we were meant to be together and never looked back.
What do you like doing to be you, when you are not parenting, working (if you do), or blogging?
Listening to music and prancing around in my underwear haha! Doing my nails, spending ages on my make-up. All the things that I now have to try and do in 30 seconds before a small person wants me.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Giving birth! I could list a few other things but I felt like superwomen having my two! No matter how much of a wimp I am I sucked it in and was a champion haha!
From your own experiences, what do you find the hardest part of parenting and what is the easiest/most rewarding part?
Hardest: Not having enough ‘me’ time. When I’ve had a day to myself I feel so refreshed!
Most Rewarding: Having two little humans who will love you for eternity. No matter who comes and goes in my life I know I will always have them.
Parenting in itself is no mean feat; how do you juggle everything you need to in order to get everything done on a daily basis?
I don’t haha. I would love some tips to help me juggle everything. I see it that as long as they are looked after and the house is clean, toys can get tided up later, no need for all the stress.J
Why did you decide to start blogging?
After being pregnant at 19 and looking online for someone who had been in the same experiences, I didn’t really find much. So after biting the bullet I set up my blog for that missing bit I was looking for in case someone needed what I did.
Tell me a bit about your blog?
It is a parenting and lifestyle blog but with my own twist on it. I blog about judgement I have faced being a ‘young parent’. I also have an ongoing teenage pregnancy series (e.g how my mum took the news!. I like to write about my boys and their updates, all the little things we might forget as we get older. I can’t wait to look back on it when they are grown up. I feature reviews and all that good stuff too. Homeware hauls, weightloss (lack of it), days out, day in the life. All the general ‘mummy blogger’ posts haha J
What do you want your blog to achieve and where do you hope to see it go as it grows?
To be totally honest, I really hope it grows into an online place for young girls or anyone for that matter, who can go and see my experiences and maybe help them. I hope one day to maybe give talks to young parents about pregnancy/having children, run workshops, all sorts. The world is my oyster 😉
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about starting a blog?
GO FOR IT! I had been reading blogs since 2009 and always wished I had one. Just grab that bull by the horns and go for it. Don’t worry about your friends and family, you don’t have to even tell them you’re doing it. I have only told 3 people!
If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Ooo good question! Michael Jackson, Eminem, Katie Price(Good ole’ random mixture!)
Tell me three random facts about you
1. I used to be in music videos and films.
2. I’m really good at make-up, hair and nails.
3. I taught myself make-up,hair and nails all from YouTube!
