Mummascribbles – Mummascribbles meets…Whimsical Mumblings – Mummascribbles
Today we meet the lovely Sarah from Whimsical Mumblings. Thank you Sarah for taking part in the mummascribbles meets series 🙂
Tell me a little bit about yourself and your family.
I’m Sarah, a 20 something stay at home mummy to a little girly and soon-to-be mummy to a little boy too. I’m from the wet and wonderful part of the UK and I live with my fiancé and daughter.
What do you like doing to be you, when you are not parenting, working (if you do), or blogging?
When I actually get around to having a little bit of time to myself, I love watching movies, doing something crafty (I love making my own DIY beauty products) or..sadly..scouring Pinterest for hours on end! Haha! But there’s nothing more relaxing than snuggling on the sofa in your onesie, with an extraordinarily large mug of tea and watching a film! 🙂
What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement in my life is giving birth to my beautiful daughter. Sorry, cheesy but it’s true.
From your own experiences, what do you find the hardest part of parenting and what is the easiest/most rewarding part?
In my personal opinion, the hardest part of being a parent is lack of sleep. Baby Boo is 13 months and still doesn’t sleep through the night, I am generally exhausted. But it’s worth it!
The most rewarding part is raising your children and watching them grow up before your very eyes. They learn and develop so quickly it’s important to stop and take notice. I love watching Baby Boo playing and using her imagination, you can just see her personality developing 🙂
Parenting in itself is no mean feat; how do you juggle everything you need to in order to get everything done on a daily basis?
As a stay at home mum, how do I get everything done in a day? The truth? I don’t! I honestly have no idea how anybody, even sahm’s have the time to do all the chores, shopping, changing, playing, bathing and even have time to have some me-time! (If you manage all this on a daily basis, you must be a superhero!). My house is never spotless, and there are always toys scattered throughout the house. Just the way we like it 🙂
Why did you decide to start blogging?
I officially started blogging years ago, purely as a way to express my love of crafts and movies! I had two blogs, but to be honest, neither of them got enough attention. I continued blogging on and off for the past few years, and I have just recently started to get back in the swing of things!
Tell me a bit about your blog?
Whimsical Mumblings is my little piece of the internet where I like to write about my adventures! 🙂
“Life is for strange adventures and rambling conversations”
You will find me often posting about a variety of different things including movies, lifestyle, parenting and tutorials! I do love having guest posters though now and again, so pop by and let me know if you are interested! 🙂
What do you want your blog to achieve and where do you hope to see it go as it grows?
To be honest, I don’t mind if my blog doesn’t grow super duper popular. I enjoy what I write about and if others enjoy reading it too that’s a massive bonus! I am happy the way I am 🙂
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about starting a blog?
My advice to a new blogger would be, don’t get obsessed with comments, stats, followers etc. Write what you love and love what you write. Start your blog for you, not anyone else.
If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
What a good question. I would love to have Emma Stone (because she’s amazing & hilarious), Will Smith (because he’s awesome & seems like a genuine lovely person) and Elvis Presley (because that would just be so cool to have Elvis round for dinner!!)
Tell me three random facts about you
1. I am a massive chocoholic 2. I’m still scared of the dark! Haha!
3. I love movies. I watch approximately 10 new movies a week! 🙂
