Mummascribbles – Siblings (February 2017) – Mummascribbles
I haven’t taken a huge amount of photos this month, mainly because we have had two cases of pox in the house and also because my phone broke. Yes, the joy of siblings is that one gets ill and shortly after, the other one does too. The sweetest thing is watching the guilt. I know that Zach was really upset that Oscar had caught his chicken pox and was really sad to see him so poorly. For all the bad things he does do, like wake Oscar up while he is trying to sleep or disturb him while he is trying to feed (obviously all down to attention seeking), he really does adore his brother and the feeling is very much a mutual thing.
If Zach is in the room, there is just nowhere else Oscar will look than at his big brother. If Zach isn’t there then it’s all about mummy but otherwise, it is definitely all about the Zach. There was a moment a couple of weeks ago when they were making each other giggle and it was the most beautiful of moments for me. So special and everything that I dreamed of when I knew we were expecting our boy number two.
Of course it’s not just about me and Zach – there is daddy here too and he is equally so very important to both my boys. There is so much that he doesn’t get to experience while he is stuck at work and so it’s really special when I just look on at him and the two of them. Quite often it’s just daddy and Zach or daddy and Oscar but this month there was a gorgeous moment when the two of them were sharing daddy and I managed to capture some shots of it. It was a bit chaotic, glasses could have been broken, accidents could have happened but thankfully everyone came out unscathed and these pictures (though not the best quality as it was so very spur of the moment!), make me a very happy mumma. Two brothers just enjoying their daddy.
