Our morning of fun at the PJ Masks Halloween Party – Mummascribbles
Zach is a massive fan of PJ Masks. He discovered them a while ago on YouTube and at that time, I had absolutely no idea where they were from and absolutely no idea that they were the current craze in cartoon. Suddenly his nursery friends were talking about them and then he came home a few times telling me he had played PJ Masks with them all, fighting off the baddies. It was around that point that I realised they were on Disney Junior and everything fell into place!
Then for his birthday, he got a load of PJ Mask stuff from my mum. Jigsaws, the cars and figures and a Catboy costume. He was over the moon and spent a whole day in his new outfit.
So when a few weeks ago, we received an invite to attend a PJ Mask Halloween party taking place during half term, I absolutely said yes and I was so, so excited to take him.
The party was on Tuesday and we had only told him at the weekend that we were going (I couldn’t take weeks of being asked when it was time to go). He was so excited.

It was quite an early start and we had to get up, get ready and leave like we would do for school. It was also my birthday so unfortunately I didn’t get any form of lay in or even any breakfast! The things we sacrifice for our kids ay?
Zach was incredibly happy that we had to get three trains in order to get to the venue which was in Piccadilly Circus in London.

We had a quick couple of minutes walk from the station and we arrived just a few minutes before the scheduled start. And once we were taken upstairs to where it was all happening, Zach was wowed!
The first thing he did was decorate a Catboy face mask with some lovely sticky gems on the creative table.

Then he waited patiently whilst he had a cat balloon made for him.

And then it was time for the Diddi Dance session. Unfortunately Zach was a bit overwhelmed at this point and didn’t fancy taking part. Oscar on the other hand was bopping away in our arms bless him!
Diddi Dance is holding a Super Dance Party in all of their classes across the UK from Monday 30th
October to Sunday 5th November to raise funds for the Youth Sport Trust – a national children’s charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people through the power of sport and physical activity. For more information about how you can take part, you can head over to https://www.diddidance.com/pj-masks-super-dance-party.
Once the dance session was over, it was time for the big moment – the one where Zach would meet his heroes. And what a moment it was. He was totally spellbound when Catboy, Gecko and Owlette arrived and he was there to give them all hugs!

Once that special moment was over, there was a lovely spread of food served including sandwiches, chicken and fish goujons, sausages and some yummy pastries! We all had a good old nibble (especially us because we hadn’t had breakfast!).

Once we we were all full up of food, it was time to head up to the screening of PJ Masks. We were treated to one old and one brand new episode that had never been aired. FYI – remember to tune in to Disney Junior every day at 5.45pm and catch the last of the brand-new episodes on Wednesdays in November and December. Else your kids will be mad!
And once the screening was over, Zach was treated to possibly the best goodie bag that has ever been received! He was over the flippin moon when he realised he had a selection of the brand new range of PJ Masks products including a super cool fleece blanket, a water bottle, the 2018 annual, puzzle, vehicle and DVD. So chuffed he was.
And then it was time to head home after a super awesome morning. Originally we were going to head somewhere for food but he was pretty exhausted and just wanted to go home.
Thanks so much to the organisers of the PJ Masks Halloween party for inviting us to be a part of it. You made Zach’s year!
