Review: Ashby Treats sweetie jar! – Mummascribbles

Being a parenting blogger means that most of the reviews I do are child related. Every now and then however,  I get an opportunity to review something that isn’t for Zach! It’s definitely nice when the parcel arrives and I know that it’s for the other half and I, or even just me hehe! Unfortunately I have had to share the latest product with said other half, which is probably a good thing because otherwise I’d be a piggy all by myself, for this review is all about sweets!!

I was contacted by the lovely people from Ashby Treats asking if I’d like to review a jar of their sweets! The part of me that is trying to be a little healthier should have said no, but of course that little devil on my shoulder told me to say a big fat yes! So I did! And boy am I glad of it!

About Ashby Treats

Ashby Treats is based at a sweet shop called Sweet Memory Lane in a small market town in Leicestershire. Their shelves are filled to the brim with all of the typical sweets you would have grown up with and so much more! Along with just simply being able to order sweets, to devour at home (like I’m doing as I write this!), they also do party bags, wedding favours, corporate gifts and so on and so on!!

What we thought of the product
Seriously, I started writing this after dinner and had to get the jar over because I couldn’t write about them without wanting them!

The sweet jar arrived so beautifully packaged that I felt like I was opening the most gorgeous gift – I was oooing and ahhing while delicately pulling the stunning paper off of it!

When I did get it off, I was so surprised by what was underneath. I mean, how utterly gorgeous is this??

A bit more unwrapping later and I was in! And oh my word, it was like all of my pick n mix dreams come true! A jar full of Haribo hearts, mini eggs, strawberry chocolate hearts and mini love hearts among others! I was in heaven! My other half gasped and was just as excited – although his was about the jar itself even more than the sweets – he does love a good jar!

Overall we were seriously impressed with this – from the beautiful packaging to the mouth wateringly delicious sweets, I would have no qualms about buying these and they would make a really wonderful present to be delivered direct.

Is there anything we didn’t like?
Nope. No. Nada. Nothing.
