The 1st haircut! – Mummascribbles
Well it took almost 2 years but Zach has now had his first hair cut! We took him to a very special salon called Little Fidgets not far from us that specialises in children’s hair.
When you walk in, it is immediately captivating – there is a pretty fish tank behind the counter and it’s decorated in beautiful bright colours. The seats for the children are a range of cars and a motorbike for the slightly older children. Each station has a tv in front of it playing Peppa Pig, the motorbike has a Playstation and there are tons of toys dotted around to be played with.
The two ladies we met today were lovely and absolutely wonderful with Zach. I can say that he didn’t enjoy it. He started out ok, fascinated at being sat in a car but once the snipping started he was not impressed and he got really upset.

The lovely hairdresser worked as quickly as she could while being very caring. The reason I wanted him to go there was because I knew that they dealt with upset wriggling children every day and I was right to trust my instinct on them being fab. After the snippety snip had finished, Zach was happy again, playing in the car and whizzing the steering wheel around!

They do a first haircut speciality where in addition to the chop, you can have a framed certificate with a little photo and a lock of hair attached. Of course we went for this, you only get a first haircut once and I can’t wait to put it on his bedroom wall! We also got a larger photo, and a little goody bag of treats and a little bag with a wad of his hair!

I couldn’t have asked for a better service to what was an exciting but worrying moment in Zach’s life but bar the few tears that were shed, I think it was a huge success.
So thank you to all at Little Fidgets, although can’t say I’m impressed with how damn grown up you made him look!!
