Twinkly Tuesday [17/11/15} – an important read – Mummascribbles

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and of course welcome to another week.

Before I begin on this week’s linky, I have some rather sad news to share with you all. My wonderful co-hosts Caro and Sadia will, from December, no longer be my co-hosts. Next week will be their last week. These two lovely ladies came to my rescue when this wonderful community was really taking off. For months they have been my sidekicks, running things when I’ve been away and working so hard to keep this being the wonderful linky that it is. Sadly, life for them has got so busy that they can no longer commit to such a big job.

This leaves me as your only host from 1st December. I mulled over the options that I had and whilst I could recruit another couple of co-hosts, I have decided that isn’t the route I am going to go down. You see, I am also struggling with the workload and so am seeing this as a bit of an opportunity to take a step back. To still run this linky, to still be your host but to do a little less. Currently, I have to read and comment on average, 40 posts per week, along with responding to all of the lovely comments on my own post. This on top of writing my blog posts, trying to keep my site up to date, wanting to join in with other wonderful linkies, being a mum and having a full time job. To say it has been stressing me out a bit is an understatement and that’s why it simply won’t work for me to just take on more hosts and why I have decided to go it alone.

Of course, by going it alone means that I have to make some changes to make the workload of it bearable.

So from next week the following changes will be coming into action:

***I will no longer be sending out reminder tweets on Tuesday mornings. Instead, you will receive a reminder email and that’s it.

***I can no longer comment on all of the posts that are linked up. You are such a wonderful bunch who mostly all stick to the rules of commenting on the post before yours. Whilst I won’t be able to completely police this, I do ask that if you haven’t had your post commented on – to let me know.

I will however still be:

***Retweeting all of your tweets that you copy me into

***Choosing a Tuesday Twinkler. Ok, so I know I won’t be reading all of the posts but there are often ones that stand out among the crowds.

***If you are linking up for the first time, do let me know so that I can add you to my reminder email list.

I truly hope that you understand my reasons for doing this and I truly hope that you as a part of this wonderful community, continues to help it be as successful as it is – simply by linking up just the one post, and commenting on as many others as you can – including the one directly before yours. If I can ask you to play your part as I play mine, then hopefully it will continue to run as wonderfully as it is.

I am sure you will all join me in thanking the brilliant Caro and Sadia who have been so wonderful. I have told them they absolutely must continue to link up with us! Their last week of hosting will be 24th November.

Onto this week’s link up and we have the last of the three Twinklers this week. If you are one of them then don’t forget to go grab your special badge! Your posts will also be featured on the Tuesday Twinklers Pinterest board.

My Tuesday Twinkler is from Dancing Dandelions who wrote a great post about why you ladies shouldn’t be scared of having a smear test. I myself had to have treatment to remove abnormal cells so I am always keen to spread awareness like this.

Caro’s Tuesday Twinkler is from our lovely Sadia at How Do You Do It Blog, who linked up a revised version of a post she wrote when her now 6 year old twins were toddlers when she was asked “how do you do it”?

Sadia’s Tuesday Twinkler is from Chirpy Chatterbox who linked up a fab guest post from a pediatric speech-language pathologist talking about Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

Do go check them out if you haven’t already 🙂

Now onto this week’s linky. You can find all details about Twinkly Tuesday here. Remember our new rules below (go see if you can’t remember or are new!).

Be sure to mention me, @mummascribbles, Caro, @twinklediaries and/or @hdydi over on Twitter and use the hashtag #TwinklyTuesday and we’ll be sure to retweet them all! We’ll also visit everyone’s posts and leave comments between us.

I have had to stop posting all your posts on the Pinterest board now because it was so time consuming I couldn’t cope! If you want to pop them on there yourself, feel free to do so. Just drop an email to [email protected] or tweet me your email address and I’ll add you to the board. No more than one post per week please 🙂

Each week, we will each pick a favourite post which will be featured on the following weeks Twinkle page!

We’ve noticed that a few people have been linking and running — without bothering to comment on anyone else’s posts — which is a real shame. In order for the linky to work, please be generous with your comments! And please also add the Twinkly Tuesday badge to the bottom of your posts.

Please put the effort in, so it’s fair to those who always do. We will be removing repeat offenders from now on.

  • You can link up to one post per week, old or new.
  • Please be kind enough to add the Twinkly Tuesday badge to the bottom of your post/s – if you don’t know how to do this, you simply need to copy the code below the badge and paste it into your html version of your post. If you have any trouble, get in touch and we can help you out.
  • Please comment on at least two other posts including the one directly before yours and if you have time, as many others as you can and please do check the hosts posts out too – we like some blog love too!
  • Please use #TwinklyTuesday in your comments so people know where you found them!
  • By linking up, you give us permission to use images from your blog if featured. You also allow us to add you to a mailing list to receive a weekly announcement when Twinkly Tuesday opens.
  • The linky will close at 23.55 on Tuesday.

Above all, we really want you to enjoy this linky and I really look forward to reading all of your amazing posts.
