Twinkly Tuesday Archives – Mummascribbles

Hello and welcome to another week of Twinkly Tuesday with myself, Caro from The Twinkle Diaries and Sadia at the How do you do it? blog. Another fab week has gone by with some fantabulous posts linked up. Thank you to everyone who joined us

***There seemed to be a bit of confusion last week regarding the new Tuesday Twinkler badge. This badge is for those bloggers who have their post featured as a favourite of the week. There were quite a few that used it on their posts in place of the standard Twinkly Tuesday badge which wasn’t quite the point as it’s a special badge for those who have been featured over the weeks. If you are one of those who have been featured, then please pop over to here and grab the badge, otherwise, please use the one at the bottom of this post

I’ve also created a new Pinterest board dedicated to the Tuesday Twinklers so the posts are all on there :)***

My Tuesday Twinkler this week is from Life on Vista Street who wrote a post about dementia. What really struck me here was the story of Betty and Alf. A truly heartwarming story.

Caro’s Tuesday Twinkler this week is from our very lovely co-host Sadia at the How do you do it blog who wrote a wonderful post about talking to her children about her depression.

Sadia’s Tuesday Twinkler is from Raising the Rings who has written a letter from her unborn baby to her son. Gorgeous.

Do go check them all out if you haven’t already

Now onto this week’s linky. You can find all details about Twinkly Tuesday here.

Be sure to mention me, @mummascribbles, Caro, @twinklediaries and/or @hdydi over on Twitter and use the hashtag #TwinklyTuesday and we’ll be sure to retweet them all! We’ll also visit everyone’s posts and leave comments between us.

All of last week’s posts have been pinned to the Twinkly Tuesday Pinterest Board. If you want to, you can drop an email to [email protected] or tweet me your email address and I’ll add you to the board. No more than 2 posts per week please

Each week, we will each pick a favourite post which will be featured on the following weeks Twinkle page!

We’ve noticed that a few people have been linking and running — without bothering to comment on anyone else’s posts — which is a real shame. In order for the linky to work, please be generous with your comments! And please also add the Twinkly Tuesday badge to the bottom of your posts.

Please put the effort in, so it’s fair to those who always do. We will be removing repeat offenders from now on.

Above all, we really want you to enjoy this linky and I really look forward to reading all of your amazing posts.

Hello and welcome to another week of Twinkly Tuesday with myself, Caro from The Twinkle Diaries and Sadia at the How do you do it? blog. I feel like I need to stop saying that we’ve had a record week now, for it seems to happen every week but I think it is just AMAZING! So thank you to everyone who linked up your fabulous posts!

***This week, we have a fabulous new badge for our Tuesday Twinklers. Anyone who has been featured as a favourite post aka a Tuesday Twinkler, from the beginning to now can use this. If you have been featured, be sure to claim your fame by adding the Twinkly Tuesday Twinkler badge. Let everyone know that we thought you were fab! ***

My Tuesday Twinkler this week is from 23 Week Socks who wrote a post that is beyond description really. It’s not easy to read but I was captured by her story of why caring for babies who die for reasons unknown is the hardest thing about being a NICU nurse.

Caro’s Tuesday Twinkler this week is from Thirsty Daddy who wrote post about how he was made to feel like a bit of a dumb-ass Dad for not dressing his daughter appropriately for the weather (by her teacher!).

Sadia’s Tuesday Twinkler is from Kateywrites and is full of advice for parents of picky readers!

Following Twinkly Tuesday becoming the massive success that it is (thank you everyone!), myself and Caro were each starting to struggle a little. We absolutely love running this linky and something that I am adamant about is that we as hosts comment on every link that is shared with us. As you can imagine when we started seeing our figures pass beyond the one hundred mark, we suddenly had a lot of work to do. And then, a little email hit our inboxes from Sadia at the How do you do it? blog giving us what she thought was a very crazy offer to join us as co-hosts and combine the HDYDI parenting linky with Twinkly Tuesday. We considered this hard because we didn’t want to make things confusing for you all but equally when we had 122 link ups followed by 114, we knew we had to do something and we happily welcomed Sadia on board.

And so there are now three of us.

Myself, Caro and Sadia are your hosts. You can link every week from any of our pages and everything else remains the same. You’ve probably even seen Sadia’s name around this last week because she’s been helping us out with all the commenting and pinning. So welcome and thank you Sadia. We hope you enjoy it here as a Twinkly Tuesday host.

Of course, there being three of us means there are now three favourite posts of the week! It also means that a shiny new Twinkly Tuesday logo is being designed by the lovely Caro. Keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal coming soon!

My Tuesday Twinkler this week is from is from Apparently Awkward  who wrote a very important post on going to the toilet after giving birth. Let’s just say…Hemorrhoids!

Caro’s Tuesday Twinkler this week is from is from Awesome Austerity who wrote a funny post about her kids saying embarrassing things out loud in public!

Sadia’s Tuesday Twinkler is from Practicing Motherhood about ways in which pregnancy prepares a woman for motherhood.
