Every month I write a little roundup of the books that the boys have been reading. We love books in our house and have tons of them, but we also regularly visit the library to grab new ones out too.
If you scroll all the way through to the end of this post, you’ll be able to download my FREE list containing all of the books that I have featured throughout this series.
Here are the books that the boys read in March.

This Is The Story Of Alison Hubble, Who Went To Sleep Single And Woke Up Double*

This is such a great book. As the title suggests, Alison Hubble goes to bed one night and when she wakes up in the morning, there are two of her. The problem is, it doesn’t just stop there – she keeps doubling, and so by the end of the book there are lots of her! Zach thought it was hilarious to watch more and more Alison’s appear on every page and the book is written in rhyme which made it an extra fun read.

The Shark In The Dark*

Oscar stumbled upon this in the library and because of its title, was very excited by it. Not to be confused with Shark In The Dark* which I featured in an earlier post, this book is about a bully shark who is busy looking for food and scaring all the fishes and sea creatures. That is until the fish meet a squid who give them a fab idea, and they club together to give the shark a taste of his own medicine! This book was thoroughly enjoyed by both the boys.

School For Little Monsters*

Side by side there stand two schools. Each with VERY different rules. Bob and Blob both start today.
Let’s hope they get inside okay.
But what if they each accidentally go into the wrong school? Well you can find out just what happens when Bob ends up in the Monster School and Blob ends up in the Nice School For Boys And Girls!
There’s lots of trouble, lots of confusion, and lots of laughs from the kids reading it!

I’ll Love You*

Well I loved this book. I always love a book that sends messages of complete love to the boys as I’m reading it, and this book does just that. With Yaks, Manatees, Sheep and Whales involved, it makes for a very fun and special read together.

Jellybeans For Giants*
We have read a couple of books from this range, and this didn’t let us down. Following the lines of Jack and the Beanstalk, George plants a jellybean, waters it, and out pops a beanstalk. He and his dog Trixie then go on an adventure to see if giants really do exist – but they meet a lot of things on the way.
Zach was a big fan of this story and I really enjoyed reading it to him.
Mad About Trucks And Diggers*
Well it wouldn’t be one of my round ups if there wasn’t some mention of either dinosaurs or diggers! This book is from the author of Giraffe’s Can’t Dance*, and takes us through all the different trucks, diggers, transporters, and emergency vehicles.
Oscar is the biggest fan of all things transport, so I got this out of the library for him and it was very well received – he was busy commenting on all of the pictures and modes of transport throughout!
So there we go. That’s what the boys have been reading over the last month. All six of these books were picked up from the library and they would be a fabulous addition to your book shelves.
