I love tea. I drink a lot of it every day. I start my morning with it and it really is like the end of the world if I wake up and realise we have no milk. So much so, that last night I realised that exact occurrence would happen this morning, and so I jumped in the car, in my pyjama shorts and a vest top, and popped up to the shop to get milk so that I knew I would be able to have my much needed morning cuppa. And it was much needed as I woke up at 6am coughing and couldn’t get back to sleep again. I should note here that I don’t have covid – the kids just passed on their germs and I’ve been snotty and coughy for almost a week (thankfully tested negative!).
Anyway, back to tea. Like I said, I love it. Along with my morning cup, I have one around 11am, another around 2pm, sometimes I sneak in a 4pm one, and then I have a really relaxing one once the kids are in bed. I mentioned this to the other half’s family and they were like, you have a daily timetable for your tea?! It is a flexible timetable but it is just at moments in the day that make sense. Morning, before nursery pick up, after school pick up, and before bed. It’s just how it works!

I’m not a coffee drinker. I love a hot chocolate but if I had those as regularly as I drink tea, I would be rather overweight. So tea is my forte. My must. My need. As a Mum of two kids (who like waking up early), a walker of a dog, dealing with the schoolruns, the running of the home, and trying to work on my business; I basically wouldn’t make it through a day if I didn’t have tea!
So becoming an ambassador for Victoria Mae Designs and being sent lots of tea goodies was a bit like winning the lottery for me! Unfortunately, I am utterly rubbish and have been so, so busy, it has taken me ages to get around to writing this post, and for that I can only apologise. But here I am finally, to share the first of the tea packs that I received. And it is a corker! But before I get into it, let me tell you a little about Victoria.
Victoria Mae is a Belfast-based surface designer specialising in printed pattern and illustration. Her creative designwork has made its way onto a wide range of surfaces, from textiles to tableware to teabags, and you can now buy some of her unique designs – a quirky range of tea gifts, customised and personalised wedding favours, or beautiful ceramics.
Since launching her range in 2012, Victoria Mae’s award-winning designs have been featured in a number of high profile publications, including Elle, Country Homes and Interiors, Ideal Home magazine, Design Week, The Lady and Country Living, and were also featured on TV as part of ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover. Her products are designed and made in Britain, and her teabags are both Fairtrade and certified organic.
My first set of tea is the gift boxed version of the Jane Austen tea set. Presented with a lovely pink ribbon and little sticker, I was really excited opening it because I didn’t know what to expect. And what I was presented with made me go “ooooooooo”. They are just so beautiful.

Each individual teabag is housed in a handcrafted sewn paper envelope which is just seriously special. They feel luxurious and are so dainty. It is like opening a little gift every time. And each envelope has a quote or reference to one of the novelist’s literary masterpieces, so if you know any Jane Austen fans, this is the perfect gift for them.

When you order, you can choose which kind of tea you want. The choices are English Breakfast, Earl Grey, or a mixed selection of flavours. The teas are sourced from well-known British tea companies and along with the aforementioned, there are Darjeeling, Camomile, Rooibos & Honeybush, Indian Spice Chai, Mint (spearmint), Jasmine Green Tea and Honeybush.
I am pretty boring with my tea and English Breakfast is my go to every time! I am usually a PG Tips drinker, and these teabags are Tetley, and I have to say, it was delicious. I always remember preferring PG Tips but apparently Tetley is nicer than I remember.

You can order different quantities, so they come in a set of 8, 16, or 24 and range from £7.50 – £23.10 in price. And you can choose no gift packaging, a paper bag packaging, or a little cardboard box.
I honestly think these are just so pretty and make the absolute perfect gift for someone. I can’t wait to open the next one that I have here and share with you!
