Mummascribbles – Behind the scenes of the Vision Direct ‘A Pug’s Christmas’ campaign – Mummascribbles
We all love a good Christmas advert don’t we? And we all love animals right?! So we must all be happy when those two things are put together!
Earlier this month, Vision Direct launched their very first Christmas advert featuring a short sighted pug called Gizmo.
The advert tells the heartwarming story about one boy and his (shortsighted) dog who are learning that through their many adventures, Gizmo’s glasses are just getting in the way…with disastrous consequences for said glasses. Gizmo’s life changes though when he is given contact lenses, highlighting the fab next day delivery service that Vision Direct offer. My other half is always nearly breaking his glasses. Or I should say Zach is always nearly breaking the other half’s glasses when he’s being tickled. Such things are much easier when he is just wearing his lenses!
The video is of course pretty darn adorable, however there is only one thing that could be better and that’s a behind the scenes version. Think Pug. Think Pug being interviewed. And think Pug wearing some pretty spiffing costumes. Together, within one video, you will find all of these things!
Ashley Mealor, Chief Marketing Officer at Vision Direct, said:
“We wanted to give viewers of our christmas ad another lighthearted, playful video to enjoy. Gizmo was a lot of fun to work with and we couldn’t resist giving him a little more screen time.”
So, without further ado, I give you the behind the scenes video of A Pug’s Christmas. Enjoy!
Both videos are available to watch at the Vision Direct Youtube channel and you can also click here to find a fab competition!
