Mummascribbles – Mummascribbles meets…Twinderelmo – Mummascribbles

This week we meet the lovely Beth from Twinderelmo. Thanks so much for taking part Beth 🙂

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your family.
My name is Beth and I’m 30. I live in Shropshire with my husband and three kids; Charlie who is 7 and identical twin girls P1 and P2 who will be 3 in June. I’m a stay at home parent as I took voluntary redundancy during my maternity leave.

What do you like doing to be you, when you are not parenting, working (if you do), or blogging?
If you’d have asked me six months ago it’d be very different but I’m really enjoying exercising. I have started running since January and am proud of how far I’ve come.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
Corny and cliche as hell but having my kids. I am amazed that my body has grown three babies – and the fact it grew two babies at the same time and allowed me to carry them to 37 weeks. We were told ID twins are high risk as they share a placenta so to have two healthy babies who weighed 6lb and 7lb1oz is incredible. So lucky.

From your own experiences, what do you find the hardest part of parenting and what is the easiest/most rewarding part?
The hardest is definitely the repetition; whether it be the monotony of school runs to constantly saying the same thing over and over to not be heard. It can be very wearing and with a husband who works away a lot, it’s hard not to be able to offload of an evening. But for every hard day, when we all sit and giggle or dance around the kitchen like loons I look at them all and think – this is bloody ace!

Parenting in itself is no mean feat; how do you juggle everything you need to in order to get everything done on a daily basis?
I try to be as laid back as possible. The laundry can wait – there’s no point getting wound up about it! My kids all go to bed at 7 so if anything is urgent it’ll get done then but everything else is very as and when!

Why did you decide to start blogging?
When I was pregnant with the girls it was all scary reading about ID twins. Everything was high risk and then how hard it would all be; there was no flip side. My blog rarely is like that now but when I started I wanted to show that twin life isn’t like Google says!

Tell me a bit about your blog?
Twinderelmo is a random blog! I have a very sarcastic sense of humour and my posts that have done the best are usually these. I hope people can see it’s very tongue in cheek but there’s always the odd few who take everything literally.

What do you want your blog to achieve and where do you hope to see it go as it grows?
I don’t really have any grand plans for my blog. I’ll never be a pro as I don’t have the discipline but I also wouldn’t want to. The pressure, competitiveness, bitchiness and some vicious comments don’t appeal to me. I’m happy to plod on.

What advice would you give someone who is thinking about starting a blog?
Enjoy what you write. I got lost last summer and ended up doing posts that weren’t me. It is YOUR blog and you should always do what makes you happy.

If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive), who would it be and why?

1. Amy Winehouse as she to me is my ultimate idol. She wasn’t not your stereotypical “celebrity” and by no means any form of role model but to me, she was wonderful. Her voice was just incredibly and such a loss of talent.

2. David Beckham – probably to just randomly stare and drool at his sheer beauty.

3. The Undertaker from the WWE. Massively random yes but I loved him from my childhood and I would absolutely love to ask him about the infamous Hell in a Cell match!

Tell me three random facts about you
