Mummascribbles – Siblings (December 2016) – Mummascribbles

What can I say? Having a pair of brothers is just the best! I have mentioned previously that Zach and Oscar absolutely adore each other and I have shared many a photo of them gazing lovingly at one another. 

For me, this month, the focus has been about how Zach has cared for his little brother. With Oscar still coughing his little guts up, Zach has been my saviour in the car when I’ve been driving. 

There is nothing more worrying than when you can hear your small baby in the back of the car coughing and you can’t see them close up to see if they’ve coughed up any mucus or bubbles. When Zach has been in the car with me he has been there, next to Oscar, with a muslin wiping his mouth when it’s needed wiping. He has made repeated clicking noises with his tongue because it seems to keep Oscar calm when the traffic lights are red. He has reassured me that Oscar is just having a cough and isn’t choking. He has told me whether Oscar is awake or asleep. He has been my superman! 

And at home it’s been the same. Just yesterday he was laying on the bed with Oscar having snuggles and suddenly Oscar needed a muslin wipe. Which created my very favourite photo of them this month, of Zach tenderly wiping Oscar’s mouth. Absolute brotherly love and I am so proud of him for looking after his little sibling.
