Mummascribbles – Tasty sandwiches with Primula – Mummascribbles

When we were sent the most recent set of Primula cheeses and asked to use them in sandwiches, there was only one real thing I could do with them – make up some smoked salmon and cheese ones! Zach has his middle class moments when it comes to smoked salmon, he absolutely loves it whether it is in sandwiches or in bagels. He went off it for a while but he is well and truly enjoying it again.

He often comes home from nursery hungry so I decided to treat him to his favourite tea. I would have joined him but sadly, one of the things in this pregnancy that I have completely gone off is bread. It happened last time as well. I just can’t face it! So Zach’s little treat it was.

The best way of having this of course is to have the cheese slathered onto each slice of bread with loads of salmon in between them.

If I was making this for an adult, I would add a little side salad, with fresh and plump cherry tomatoes , fresh crisp lettuce and cucumber. And maybe even a few cheeky crisps!

Of course, there are lots of cream cheese variations to have in a sandwich. You could even host a tea party at home and have cucumber and cream cheeses sandwiches or what about beef or chicken? Primula has such a range of flavours, there is bound to be one that goes with absolutely anything. The cheese and onion is always a favourite of mine.

I really hope to be back on bread sometime soon so I can experiment. I feel like I am missing out hugely!
