Mummascribbles – The (not big or fat) quiz of the year! – Mummascribbles

I was tagged by the lovely Alex of Lamb and Bear to answer a few questions about 2016. If you haven’t checked out Alex’s blog then you really must – I also recommend buying leggings from her shop – I got some for Oscar and they are just divine!

Here we go with the quiz!

What was your highlight of 2016?

It has to be giving birth to my gorgeous Oscar and making my equally gorgeous Zachary a big brother. Watching my two boys bonding is just beautiful and I feel like such a proud mumma.

Name one thing you are likely to remember about 2016 if asked in 5 years time.

I guess it’ll always be remembered as the year we became a family of four. It’s the most significant happening in our lives since the biggest little man was born and one that nothing can beat!

Sum up 2o16 in one word.

Amazing! From the minute we found out we were expecting back in January it’s just been incredible.

Name one pearl of wisdom that you will carry through 2017.

Not all babies are the same. I think I was expecting a Zach times two but Oscar is his own little person. He spent the first couple of months sleeping fantastically well at night where Zach was a terrible sleeper and he seems so much more with it than Zach did at the same age. I have learnt that I can’t expect the same things happening at the same times as Zach did them! Except the bronchiolitis – they both caught that at exactly the same age!

Do you have any new years resolutions?

I haven’t really thought about it because I think it adds too much pressure. I’d like to stop eating so much crap and exercise more but I don’t want to make it a chore. Plus with two children I need sugar hits and more time!

I do want to work better at planning because everything is so hit and miss at the moment. Once Oscar gets into a routine it’ll all be easier but he’s a boob monster right now and so it can be hard to get things done!

How are you seeing in the new year

It’s currently 22.55, I’m sitting on the sofa, Oscar is having a poo, the other half is sat next to me and my mum on the other sofa. We are watching Graham Norton and passing round the After Eights! Will we make it to midnight? I don’t know!

What would you most like to do in 2017?

Just enjoy it.  Zach will be starting school in September which is going to be a major shift so I want to make the most of the time that I have with him before he becomes a school child!

What are your main goals in 2017?

My one goal is to not go back to full time work. I know that I need to work and whilst I do earn from my blog, it’s not yet enough to not have a guaranteed income coming in. It’s up to me to find a way of earning a part time wage whilst staying home with the boys as much as possible.

And that’s it! That was fun!

I now tag Mrs H’s Favourite Things, The Smallest of Things, Heels and Hooves and Hi Baby.
