Review – Muddy Puddles Pac-a Mac – Mummascribbles

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Muddy Puddles to see if I’d like to work with them on a review of one of their Puddle Pac-a-Mac’s. I had heard of Muddy Puddles before and know that they sell some gorgeous stuff so I immediately said yes!

About Muddy Puddles

Muddy Puddles specialise in outdoor clothes for children, equipping them for their outdoor adventures all year round. If you take a peek at their website you’ll see a range of mac’s, wellies, ski-wear, beach wear and more, all in very beautiful designs.

Their story goes like this
“Once upon a time there was a farmer whose three children loved getting really, really muddy. One day she lay the smallest one down on the table, drew round him and made him a waterproof suit.

Lots of other farmers wanted one too so she made lots more and thought up the best name…Muddy Puddles!”

As well as producing fantastic items of clothing, they stick to the strictest of ethical standards and you can read all about that here. It makes you go awwww!

What we thought of the product
As I said at the start, we were asked to review their new Puddle Pac-a-Mac and I had the choice of design and size. I opted for the green umbrella in a size 2-3. I thought the design looked gorgeous although it was hard to decide between what was on offer.

Knowing we were off to France for the week, they rushed it through the post to me so that we could take it with us. I am so glad they did. We do have a Mac already, a Thomas the Tank Engine one but it’s got a lining of thin fleecy material which can make it a bit warm. When we arrived in France it was quite warm but very wet, so this lovely Muddy Puddles one came in very handy straight away! And how blooming cute did Zach look in it?

The Mac is a really good size and seems to come up on the larger side of 2-3. Zach will be 3 in September and there is tons of room for him to keep wearing it for a while! It also has elastic wrists which means that the arms are never too long – an issue we used to have regularly! He was more than comfortable in this jacket.

The quality of the material is lovely. It’s lightweight yet you can tell it’s of a brilliant quality and will be hard wearing. It’s also completely wipe clean – something we learnt when he spilt something down it!

Another brilliant thing is that the zip goes up way high meaning it’s great to keep the wind and rain out and it’s also got a really big hood. So often on jackets the hoods don’t quite cover the head and we are constantly tugging them over to keep it up! This is definitely all weather protective. Great for a little explorer

And here comes the best thing. The reasoning behind the name Pac-a-Mac? It folds into itself, velcros together and is so so easy to pack into bags! Yep, that’s right, in the right hand pocket there is a Carabiner clip and large label.

If you pull the Carabiner clip out, the pocket opens up and you can gradually fold the whole mac into it!

And at the end, you are left with a mac, wrapped in its own bag, velcroed together and small enough for it not to take up space.  Or you can even hook it on with the clasp.

Is there anything we didn’t like?
Nope!

Overall, we think this product is fab and absolutely gorgeous. I still can’t get over how darn cute Zach looks in it! The other designs are all gorgeous too. In fit, quality, durability, comfort, price and practicality, I would give this a massive 5 out of 5!

I will definitely be shopping with Muddly Puddles in the future!

You can buy the Puddle Pac-a-Mac at an RRP of £20 from https://www.muddypuddles.com and if you head on over right this minute (12 June 2015), they have a sale on!
